The Successful Conclusion of YMED Medical Team’s Exchange Activities with the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Moscow State Medical University named after N.I. Pirogov

Moscow State Medical University named after N.I. Pirogov is a national top-tier medical center jointly under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences. Ranked first in Russia and Eastern Europe and a leading institution in Europe, it serves as the Russian Chair of the China-Russia Medical Universities Alliance and a member of the World Federation for Medical Education. Notably, it is the only medical institution simultaneously selected for Russia’s National Project 5-100 and the Priority 2030 National Program.

On the occasion of the Russian Health Care Week 2024 (December 2-6), Russia’s largest annual medical series exhibition, YMED Medical Team paid a visit to the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Moscow State Medical University named after N.I. Pirogov, facilitated by the kind recommendation of Dr. Xiaowen Wang, a Russia medical postdoctoral fellow.

Here, we had the honor to meet Professor Tatiana Vitalievna, a Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Head of the Second Department of Surgery at the College, and Deputy Chairman of the Surgical Dissertation Defense Committee.

Following her personal experience with YMED’s products, Professor Tatiana Vitalievna generously praised them, leveraging her extensive clinical expertise to identify details that had previously gone unnoticed. This meeting has undoubtedly infused strong momentum into the continuous optimization of YMED’s products. We are confident that through future updates and iterations, they will achieve even greater refinement, bringing more benefits and breakthroughs to the healthcare field.

This exchange has not only opened new avenues for in-depth cooperation and knowledge sharing between YMED and the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Moscow State Medical University named after N.I. Pirogov but also facilitated enhanced interaction and mutual advancement in multiple domains, including medical technology, scientific research innovation, and talent cultivation.

Product Advantages

Wound Incision Protectors

Since its inception, YMED has remained deeply rooted in frontline clinical practice, intensely focused on addressing clinical needs and pain points. After meticulous analysis and in-depth review of extensive clinical feedback, YMED is proudly launching its core product in the minimally invasive product line—the Wound Incision Protectors—delivering innovative solutions to the medical field.

Advantages of Wound Incision Protectors

●Compatible length adjustment, flexible handling, and large swing amplitude.

●Soft material texture with a pleasant tactile feel and excellent sealing performance.

●Easy specimen retrieval.

●Simplified structural design with tool-free disassembly.

●Scar-free postoperative outcome.

Single-Shot Ligation Clips

Guided by clinical needs, YMED has developed a disposable single-load ligating clip with three specifications—small green, medium purple, and large yellow—to provide diverse product options for clinical applications.

Advantages of Single-Shot Ligation Clips

●360° full-encirclement ligation with a safety-locking mechanism ensures secure closure, while tactile feedback during clamping conveys precise safety confirmation.

●Precise clamping, anti-slip retention, guided alignment for efficient ligation.

●Arc-shaped anti-slip surface for optimal conformity to the vascular interface, integrated anti-slip teeth ensure effective slippage prevention.

●Arc-shaped design for enlarged ligation range, uniform force distribution, and non-cutting action.

●Force-responsive elasticity adjustment ensures definitive release upon ligation failure.

Continuous Ligation Clips

As a novel technology product, YMED pioneered breakthroughs in overcoming import technical barriers with its reusable non-absorbable polymer ligation clips, among which the Purple Reusable Series stands as the world’s first mature product.

YMED Continuous Release Ligation Clips can smoothly enter trocars and are fully compatible with both open and laparoscopic surgeries. The ergonomic handle design ensures enhanced comfort during prolonged procedures, while precision jaws provide clear visualization for accurate vascular ligation. The exclusively developed elongated version (350mm) addresses complex procedures in deep, distal, or obese patients, as well as da Vinci robotic systems, which are beyond the capabilities of conventional products.

Advantages of Continuous Ligation Clips

●Automatic Loading System: Equipped with a three-point positioning mechanism and auto-alert system to ensure precise clip placement and eliminate risks of incomplete closure or detachment during manual handling.

●Safety Assurance: Avoids common issues with single-use clips, such as misalignment, slippage, or failure due to improper installation.

●Enhanced Workflow: Streamlined operation reduces procedural time by 30–50% compared to traditional single-use systems, particularly in complex cases requiring multiple clip applications.
