YMED Medical Technology Participated in the 8th Tianjin Urological Tumor Development Forum & 6th Robotic and Minimally Invasive Urology Technology Symposium

Amidst the cool breeze and refreshing atmosphere, the 8th China Anti-Cancer Association Tianjin Urological Tumor Development Forum & 6th Robotic and Minimally Invasive Urology Technology Symposium—spearheaded by the Committee of Urological Oncology of the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association and organized by Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute and Hospital—was successfully convened in Tianjin, hailed as the “Pearl of Bohai Sea”, from November 30 to December 1, 2024.

This urological tumor symposium boasted a distinguished lineup of domestic and international experts and scholars, converging to explore the latest advancements. The event pioneered an innovative hybrid model integrating online and offline formats, featuring a diverse and comprehensive agenda that included keynote speeches, live surgical demonstrations, and thematic panel discussions. It aimed to facilitate in-depth exploration of cutting-edge advancements and research findings in urological tumor diagnosis and treatment, while also investigating the application potential and future directions of robotic surgery in urology. By bridging academic research and clinical practice, the symposium established a solid foundation for cross-border collaboration in advancing urological oncology.

As one of the representatives of high-tech enterprises in medical device R&D and manufacturing, YEMD Medical Technology feels deeply honored to receive the prestigious invitation to this esteemed conference.

During the conference, YMED showcased multiple ingeniously designed self-developed products, spanning diverse categories such as minimally invasive surgical consumables and urological surgical consumables. Its integrated minimally invasive urological surgical solutions—powered by a “urology + minimally invasive” dual-wheel drive strategy—attracted significant attention from experts and scholars. This not only demonstrated YMED’s robust innovation and R&D capabilities but also highlighted its profound professional expertise in the urological medical field, undoubtedly injecting new vitality and inspiring fresh ideas into the industry’s development.

Disposable Electronic Ureterorenoscope Catheter(Global first temperature monitoring and warning system)

YMED showcased its disposable electronic ureteropyeloscopic catheter at the exhibition, which underwent extensive theoretical research and introduced an innovative temperature sensor at the endoscope’s head, building upon the foundational studies of experts Williams and Hein to pioneer a novel design approach.

The World’s First Real-Time Temperature Monitoring and Early Warning System (Patent No.: 20220678177.7), when integrated with the endoscopic image processor (EVPS-100)—a dedicated data processing and functional control unit—enables real-time temperature display and alarm functions. During intraoperative procedures, this system continuously monitors the ambient water temperature around the flexible endoscope tip with a precision of 0.1°C. When the temperature exceeds 40°C, the value turns red and flashes to alert the surgeon to pause operations until cooling occurs. This innovation effectively mitigates thermal injuries caused by laser lithotripsy, ensuring safer clinical outcomes.

Advantages of Disposable Electronic Ureterorenoscope Catheter

●Domestically pioneered unequal-length design for male, female, and pediatric endoscopes: Eliminates the impact of excessive external shaft length on user experience, facilitates seamless manipulation by surgeons, and adapts to diverse clinical scenarios, including intraoperative channel exploration during laparoscopic procedures.

●Metal Snake Bone Design: The flexible bending section of the endoscope employs a metal snake bone riveting process, ensuring durability and precise positioning of the snake bone while effectively preventing fractures during clinical use.

●Head Flexibility of ±275°: Enables full-coverage exploration of the entire renal pelvis without blind spots, ensuring meticulous visualization and complete diagnostic accuracyduring endoscopic procedures.

Available in multiple specifications, including an ultra-thin endoscope with an outer diameter of Fr7.5 (1.2mm working channel), this design accommodates both adult and pediatric surgical needs. The larger sheath-to-scope diameter ratio enhances irrigation flow, effectively reduces intrarenal pelvic pressure, and mitigates common complications such as renal injury and septic shock caused by excessive renal pelvic pressure during procedures.

Dual-color Guide Wire(Global first)

After three years of intensive research and development, YMED is thrilled to officially launch its first-ever urological guidewire invented by Chinese innovators—the “Dual-color Guide Wire (Loach-shaped + PTFE)” (Patent No.: 202123448807.6).

The joint portion’s distal-end length selection enables clinicians to accurately assess intracavitary depth and displacement under endoscopic visualization, leveraging real-time positional feedback from integrated sensors.

Advantages of Dual-color Guide Wire

●Head Super-Slippery Design: The Loach-shaped Head Guide wire is coated with a hydrophilic polymer layer, exhibiting superior lubricity and maneuverability. Post-hydration, its measured frictional force is <0.3N—exceeding performance benchmarks of domestic and international counterparts . This design ensures excellent water-retention capability and moderate rigidity, balancing tissue compatibility with precise directional control during minimally invasive procedures .

●Smooth Transition Without Steps: The World’s First Dual-Structure “Zero-Step” Splicing Technology ensures seamless integration of the guidewire, eliminating transitional gaps and achieving harmonious unity in structural design.

●Balanced Ergonomic Design: The posterior coiled-wire structure combined with PTFE coating significantly enhances handling stability, effectively reducing intraoperative lateral rebound and slippage risks while maintaining superior force transmission efficiency for precise control during procedures.

Sealed Sheath Retrieval Kit

YMED Medical has innovatively developed a sealed sheath retrieval system based on clinical demands. This integrated solution incorporates a retrieval device, multiple puncture device specifications, and a minimally invasive fascial closure apparatus, enabling a single-procedure solution to:

1.Establish abdominal surgical working channels

2.Extract excised pathological tissues

3.Achieve rapid fascial closure
The system’s modular design optimizes workflow efficiency while maintaining airtight sealing performance during specimen retrieval, addressing critical clinical needs in minimally invasive abdominal surgery.
